My Upside Down World

In a city called California, there lived a girl named Jessica Roberts. She was just a high school girl, living in her perfect world of popularity. She was voted for School President 3 times, she won hundreds of science Olympics, she has beautiful hair and she’s always looking very presentable. Her personal life was also perfect! Her mom worked as a doctor and her dad worked as a very successful businessman and also got an incredibly loyal boyfriend named Chad. Life for her was amazing.

One day, she went to school and went inside her class. Mr .Dave was about to announce the students’ grade for the exam last week. Jessica was so excited to see her grades. In her head she just knew she was going to get an A or something. But, instead she was extremely shocked with her grade.  Even though she got B+, which was pretty high for the others, she was still very devastated. After school, she told everything about her grade to Chad. But, she was very shocked at Chad’s reaction to her story. Chad actually laughed out loud!

When she got home, she thought about Chad’s reaction. She said “How could he laughed at my story! Clearly it’s devastating for me. Maybe he just don’t understand how important my grades are for me.” It was night time. Jessica wiped her makeup off and went to bed. But then, she had a dream. In that dream she saw all her friends pushed away from her, Chad was cheating, and her parents divorced. In the middle of the night, she woke up from that dream and she cried. She was afraid of her own imaginative mind.

The next day, her mom got terrible news from her boss. Her mom was fired from her job! She didn’t know what she did wrong. Jessica was as shock as her mom. All that Jessica knew is that her mom is an amazing doctor. She didn’t know what to do but to feel sorry for her. What happened that morning was very unusual for her and her family. So, her mom stayed in for a while just to calm down a bit. Jessica was worried about her dad for working and having the income from a job alone. But, she tried to shake it off and just focus on her school.

Besides all the drama with her mom, her grades got better. And her grades went back to normal which is straight As. She was relieved that at least something went better. Life for her wasn’t the best but it wasn’t the worst either. When she went outside her class, her friends started whispering in front of her and they started gossiping, made rumours that wasn’t even true! Jessica was disappointed by her friends that she trusted completely. Chad asked about her frowned face. But, she refused to tell everything. She was just way too upset to even talk about it. So, she shut herself out from her world even from Chad.

Chad was disappointed by her pessimistic behaviour. Cause, no one has ever seen “a” Jessica Roberts, the most perfect girl, not smiling throughout the day. Chad texted her every night. But, she just didn’t want to answer his text. She was just tired and she just wanted to get herself  together first. But, Chad thought the other way. He thought that she was too tired of life and just want to give on it.

So, the next day, she went to school and went inside her class. But, she suddenly wanted to go to the restroom.  And on her way, she heard Chad’s voice in the school’s cleaning room. So, she peeked through the door gap and saw Chad talking with another girl. He was talking very romantically with this girl. Her heart was broken into pieces, shattered like glass. And she found out that Chad cheated on her with another girl. She said to herself “How could my world and life be so upside down in a sudden!”

She went home and cried all night, thinking about the universe cursing her and what should she do to fix all this. But, for her all that crying and thinking wasn’t going to help her situation. So, she just wiped her tears and tried to get some sleep. The next day, she told everything to her parents, hoping that it will help with her situation. So, they explained that life is not always smooth and straight. It will always be round and bumpy at times. So, Jessica completely understood what her parents said. From that day on, she tried to do her best at everything and just hope for the best. Because life does matter, when there is HOPE.
